Our Story
86 The Quo was established in April of 2018. It started as an idea by one of our founders. We initially created a facebook private group that was just going to be a small area for young culinarians to discuss the problems they were facing in the kitchen. Well, it quickly turned into something much greater than that. We then chose to create a Non-Profit Organization based on the same principles of the private group. We launched "86 The Quo" a week later and the rest is pretty much history! We have a team of 4 culinary professionals. All of us are Culinary/Baking Graduates. All of us are under the age of 30yrs old. The reason we created this organization is because we wanted to create a new status quo in the service industry and "86" the other one. We will not have all the answers. We wanted to create a platform for; chefs, line cooks, dishwashers, foh, boh, restauranteurs, executive chefs, prep cooks, and many more to come and talk about the day to day life and offer some sort of support. The things that we are trying to "86" are: Drug & Alcohol Abuse, Mental Health, Age & Gender Equality, Sexual Harassment and Wage Equality.
